The Storm Phaze III has the attributes of both an innovative core and coverstock technology. The fast-revving shape of the Velocity Core evens out the backend reaction without causing over-reaction. The low RG and high differential coverstock make this benchmark ball a go to for a variety of bowling styles and oil patterns. The R3S Hybrid coverstock does a good job of blending the transitions on the lanes on medium oil conditions.
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Had this bowl drilled 1.5 inch pin-pap and love how consistent and smoothly it rolls. When I just can't figure out the shot this is my go to ball.
Very good hooking ball . It has the driving power . I give this a 5 star rating.
I would definitely recommend this ball!!! It hits the pocket every time, very accurate ball, and is absolutely amazing!!! Get this ball if you are looking for a ball to increase your average
This ball has delivered games of 290, 299, and 300 in the short time I owned it. Not only that but several very high 700 series. This ball is so consistent, all I have to do is be consistent with my release and the ball will do the rest. I have severe arthritis in both knees so my approach is somewhat compromised but this ball really holds the line and doesn't overreact in the backend. Just pocket hit after pocket hit.....an incredible and one of the best balls storm has ever produced.
This Ball is a Must Have highly recommend it!

How would phase 3 compare to motiv forge fire
The Motiv Forge Fire is listed as a high performance ball while the Phaze III is an upper mid performance so the Forge Fire will be stronger. Also the Phaze III is polished to go longer on the lanes than the Forge Fire. Lastly the Phaze III is rated for more medium oil conditions while the Forge Fire is for medium to heavier oil.
How can the Storm Phaze 3 compare with the Storm Super Son!Q
The Phaze III is designed for more length and a strong backend. Because the Phaze III goes so much longer on the lanes it is ideal for medium oil conditions. The Super Son!Q is duller and this helps it to read earlier on the lanes and also can handle medium to heavier oil because of this.
How would this ball compare to a Marvel Pearl
The Marvel Pearl was going to go just slightly longer on the lanes than the Phaze III. The hybrid cover on the Phaze III helps smooth the reaction on the backend some so the Phaze III still goes long on the lanes before hooking but it is smoother on the backend while the Marvel Pearl is more angular.
What is difference be the phaze 3 and the iq emerald
The Phaze III is going to have a stronger hook potential than the IQ Tour Emerald. The Phaze III has the R3S Hybrid cover which helps the ball read a little earlier and smoother than the R2S Pearl cover on the IQ Tour Emerald.
That one bowling ball I really want 16 pounder
We have this coming in stock on December 13th and we will have 16lbs available.
Does the 12 lb. ball have the same core as the heavier balls
Unfortunately the 12lb does not have the same weight block as the 14-16lb weights. To see more details on the weight block you may visit Storms website here: https://www.stormbowling.com/phazeiii-4
How does the phase 3 compare to the phase 2?
The Phaze 3 will have a polished finish which makes it go further down the lane and have a sharper backend hook while the Phaze 2 is designed to read the lanes earlier to have a smoother arcing hook.
How does this compare to a dv8 turmoil?
There are a few different Turmoil balls and they are all listed as mid performance while the Phaze III is an upper mid performance ball. So this should be a little stronger hook potential than the Turmoil series.
How does the Phaze III compare to the ProMotion
There are a lot of differences between this and the ProMotion. This ball is designed for medium oil and the ProMotion is for heavy oil. This ball is designed to go longer on the lanes for a sharper backend hook and the ProMotion is designed for an earlier smoother arc hook.
How does this ball compare to the astrophysix
The AstroPhysiX would be more aggressive and react later than the Storm Phaze III.
Phaze 3 vs Astro Physix. whats the difference in reaction. Thanks
Will the Storm phaze 3 match up well with the Storm Astrophysix
How does the phase 3 compare to the brunswick prism hybrid??
They would be a very close comparison actually. They are both hybrid coverstocks with a polished finish to give them great length. They are both rated for medium oil but the Prism Hybrid is in Brunswicks high performance line while the Phaze III is in Storms Upper Mid performance line so the Prism Hybrid may be just slightly stronger.
How does the phaze 3 compare to the hy-road nano?
The Storm Phaze III is a more aggressive upper-mid performance ball and would react later compared to the mid-performance Storm Hy-Road Nano.
How does Phase lol compare to Halo Pearl
The Phaze III is considered an upper mid performance ball but the Halo Pearl is considered a high performance ball and would be stronger on the backend.
Is this stronger than the intense
The Storm Intense is a high performance ball for heavy oil so it would be more agressive than the Storm Phaze III.
Would this ball be good on fresh then the soniq with med. speed?
I am not sure there is a big enough difference between this and the Son!Q to need both options. They are both designed to go longer on the lanes and both are upper mid performance balls with similar strength. I would say just to use one or the other between this and the Son!Q.
Which ball do you have that compa to the virtual gravity
The closest option to this would be the Storm Gravity Evolve found here: https://www.bowling.com/products/storm-gravity-evolve.htm
Roll a back up ball speed around 11 mile a hour would you recommend this ball
This ball would be good for someone with a lower ball speed because it is designed to get down the lane before it starts hooking. You would just have to make sure the driller knows to drill this for a backup roller.
Phaze 3 compare to MVP Pearl? I currently throw a Idol Pearl
The Phaze III would be more comparable to the Idol Pearl than the MVP Pearl. The MVP Pearl is a mid performance ball for medium to lighter oil and the Phaze is a step up as an upper mid performance ball more for medium oil only.
how does this ball compare to the method
The Phaze III is going to go longer on the lanes than the Method Solid or Method Hybrid which both come out of the box with a duller finish.
Will a 13 lbs ball react like the 14
The weight block will change when you go down to 13lbs so it will have a slight difference but it is not a huge difference in terms of hook potential. Both the 14lb and 13lb have the same cover and finish.
How does the phase 3 compare to the IQ tour nano
The Phaze III was meant for medium oil and has a polished finish that goes longer on the lanes and has a sharper backend hook. The IQ Tour Nano was better for medium to heavier oil and had a 4000 grit finish to help it read a little earlier and a little smoother than the Phaze III.
How does phase 3 compare to roto grip wreaker
The Phaze III will be a stronger hook ball than the Wrecker. The Wrecker was rated for medium to lighter oil and was a mid performance ball. The Phaze III was more for medium oil only and was an upper mid performance ball.
Is this ball made in the US?
Yes, Storm is based in Utah.
Why don't they come in half size
Most of the balls will come with a couple of ounces over the weight selected but it is abnormal to get the ball in the half weights and could even be considered a blemish it the ball is that much higher than the weight listed.
how does the phase 3 compare to code red
The Code Red is listed as a high performance ball for medium to heavy oil. The Phaze III is listed as an upper mid performance ball for medium oil conditions so the Code Red will be a stronger hooking ball.
How does Phase 3 compare to Hyroad X with regard to hook potential and backend
The Phaze III is an upper mid performance ball for medium oil conditions and the HyRoad X is a mid performance ball for medium to light oil. So the Phaze III will be a stronger hooking ball. The Phaze III will go a little longer on the lanes due to the hybrid cover versus the solid cover on the HyRoad X.
Currently throw an Idol Pearl. What’s the differences between the Phase III and the Idol Pearl? Thanks
These bowling balls are actually going to be almost identical. They both had pearl coverstocks with a 1500 grit polished finish and they are both upper mid performance balls designed to work well in medium oil.
I have the intense fire. Its a high performance ball. Will I lose some thing with the phaze 3 ball. Or will these balls be compatible. Ever phaze 3 is and upper mif performance ball.what it be any difference. Between them
The numbers would indicate that the Phaze III and the Intense Fire are very close and almost identical. However, the Intense Fire is going to be slightly stronger than the Phaze III because it had an asymmetric weight block while the Phaze III has a symmetric. This give the Intense Fire a little stronger reaction and makes it more suited for medium to heavier oil while the Phaze III would be best in medium oil.
I throw a hybrid match is this better then the phaze 3. I all so throw and intense fire. The match up hybrid is my spare ball is this a good combonation
The Phaze III would fit in between the Match Up Hybrid and Intense Fire and they have similar reactions on the lanes so that could be a good compliment to the balls you already have.
I am currently using the Alpha Crux ball what would be a good next ball
Yes, the Alpha Crux was mostly designed for heavy oil only so when the lanes start to break down to more medium oil conditions the Phaze III could be a good option to switch to because it handles medium oil better and also gives you more length so it will not roll out too early.
How does the phase 3 compare to the storm lock
The Storm Lock was going to have a stronger hook potential and it will read the lanes earlier than the Phaze III. Because of this the Lock was more suited for heavier oil while the Phaze III is more for medium oil conditions.
Do you have any high performance ball that compares with the intense fire. Same spec
We do not have a ball with the exact same specs as the Intense Fire but the Storm Astrophysix might be the closest option currently. The Intense Fire would probably fit between the AstroPhysix and the Physix but I lean to the reaction of the Astrophysix because it gave good length on the lane like the Intense Fire.
What's the difference between upper mid balls to high perf balls
High Performance balls tend to have the latest performance pieces and will usually be designed to be the highest hook potential and/or handle heavier oil conditions. Upper mid performance bowling balls tend to be one step down in terms of either hook potential and/or lane conditions that they work in. That said, it is not always better to go with the highest performance ball because you may not need the ball to work in heavier oil or have a high hook potential on the lanes that you typically bowl on.
My arsenal includes a virtual gravity, crux and a hammer taboo. How would the phase iii compare?
The balls that you have are all high performance balls designed for heavier oil almost exclusively. They are also all out-of-the-box with a sanded finish to help the balls react a little earlier on the lanes. The Phaze III will read later on the lanes and because it is not quite as strong as the others it will be more rated for medium oil conditions. It would be a good backup option if you needed something for when the lanes start breaking down.
How does phaze 3 compare to idol pro?
The Idol Pro has a duller finish out the box which helps it to start reading earlier on the lanes and work a little better in medium to heavier oil. The Phaze III is designed to go longer on the lanes before it starts hooking so it is more ideal in medium oil only.
Will the phaze III fit next to my halo vision? I can not get the vision to shape very well.
The Halo Vision is a high performance ball for medium to heavy oil. It has a 4000 Grit finish on a hybrid cover to it reads a little in the midlane with good continuation on the backend. The Phaze III is a pearl cover with a polished finish which makes it go further down the lane for a sharper more angular backend hook. It is not quite as strong overall as the Halo Vision because it was more designed for medium oil. I hope this helps to determine if this would be a good fit.
Is the ball only good on medium oil lanes or is it good for all?
The ball is rated to perform best in medium oil. If you throw this in heavier oil then the reaction would be later and weaker hook but if you throw this in lighter oil it will want to grab a little earlier and have a stronger hook. You may be able to adjust to use this in most conditions but it is best for medium oil.
How would phaze 3 compare to a motive golden jackal.
The Golden Jackal is going to be a little stronger because it was a high performance ball more suited for heavier oil and the Phaze III is an upper mid performance more suited for medium oil.
What’s better for a 10.5 mph range speed phaze 3 or crux prime
The Phaze III would be a better option because you would need good length to help with the ball speed being a little slower. The Crux Prime will want to start hooking to early and with your ball speed it may hook too much too early and be too hard to control.
how does it compare black widow hammer
This would be a closer match to the Hammer Black Widow Gold because they would both be a pearl coverstock and designed for great length and backend.
I am currently using the Storm Drive, how does this ball compare to it?
The Storm Drive was a high performance ball with a hybrid cover finished at 3000 grit and designed for heavier oil. It would be stronger than the Phaze III and the Phaze III reacts later on the lanes than the Drive.
How does the phase 3 compare to the storm code black?
The Code Black was a high performance ball for medium to heavier oil while the Phaze III is an upper mid performance ball more for medium oil. They have similar reactions on the lane and the Phaze III would act in medium oil the same way that the Code Black acts in heavier oil.
What kind of ball is a primal rage
The Motiv Primal Rage was an upper mid performance pearl ball from Motiv that was very similar in length to the Phaze III but it was rated for medium to heavy oil so it may be slightly stronger in hook potential.
I had quit bowling for 20 years since 1997 grew up playing the 3&4 arrow with a white fit and used to grip and LTD slot what would you recommend for me I don't throw real hard and like going far down the lane. I am looking for heavy oil light to medium oil and a ten ball it's my toughest spair not good at keeping it from hooking so that's important.hope to hear from you soon. I like your help site learning all over again I think I am ready I am 65. Years old. Thanks
If you were looking for a good 3 ball arsenal then you may want to try something like the Storm AstroPhysix for you heavy oil ball, then use Storm Hy-Road X as a good medium to light oil option, and have a Storm Mix for your spare ball. All bowling balls in this group give you good length to help play a down and in.
How does the phase 3 compare to the snap lock
They are similar in length but the Snap Lock will be a stronger hooking ball because it was high performance and designed to handle medium to heavy oil.
I have phase 3, pro motion, forge fire, pink hammer , venom shock what should my next ball be? I know I’m gonna get the omega crux too.
So the Pro-Motion and Omega Crux have you covered on Heavier oil conditions. The Forge Fire and Pink Widow have your medium to heavier oil covered. The Phaze III is a good medium oil ball and the Venom Shock is good for medium to lighter oil. You have pretty much every condition covered but if you feel like there are any gaps you may want to try and find something to fit where you are struggling the most.
Was wondering the best course of maintenance for this bowling ball? Hand Polish every 10 games?
Storm recommends using the suggested React Shine Polish and Cleaner daily. Storm also recommends touching up the surface with only the final step every 20 games and resurfacing completely every 30-50 games.
Good morning would the Phase 3 hook more then my Hammer tour ?
The Phaze 3 will have a sharper backend hook than the Hammer Web Tour but because the Web Tour starts hooking earlier on the lanes the Web Tour may cover more boards overall. It would be close but if you want to see that sharper backend hook then the Phaze 3 is a better option for that.
I bought this bowling ball not that long ago and I wonder I got some pretty deep stretch on the bowling ball would that affect my curve on the ball and if it does can I use my warranty on that
You may want to contact us through email at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can check the warranty for this. If you ordered the ball with Bowling.com we can try to get pictures of the ball and see if this would be covered by Hammer under warranty for you.
how does this compare to the Hammer Black Widow Pink?
The Black Widow Pink would be a little stronger because it has an asymmetric weight block and can handle medium to heavier oil while the Phaze 3 would be best suited in medium oil. Both have great length and a sharp backend.
Would the Phaze 3 be in between the IQ Tour Emerald and Pro-Motion in terms of strength?
The Phaze 3 would be just a little stronger than the IQ Tour Emerald but it is a very close comparison to that. The Pro-Motion is much stronger than both the Phaze and Emerald and it reads more in the midlane rather than late.
How does the phase 3 compare to the Physix ?
The Physix is a high performance ball with a duller finish to read more in the midlane on heavier oil conditions. The Phaze III is more for medium oil conditions and the polished finish gives it more length and a sharper backend.
What’s the difference between the hyroad x and the phase iii
The Storm Phaze III is more agressive and will have a higher hook potential than the Storm Hy-Road X.
Does the phase 3 go longer than the code black
The Storm Phaze III would react earlier than the Storm Code Black.
I have A nano and a root beer crud thinking of getting phaze 3 now much of a difference intensive or less
There have been a few Nano bowling balls so I could not say for sure on that without know which Nano but the Crux Pearl had a Rootbeer fragrance and that was a pearl cover to give you good length. The Phaze 3 also gives you good length but it would not be quite as strong as the Crux. It would be a good compliment so that if the Crux was too strong you could transition down the the Phaze 3 to use more in medium oil and it should work well.
How would this ball compare to brunswick twist
This will be noticeably stronger than the Brunswick Twist. All of the features would be stronger on this ball to give it more hook potential and a stronger backend. This is rated for medium oil while the Twist is better suited in lighter oil conditions.
Looking to add to my arsenal ntly have currently have Physix street fight pearl Hustle HYB Going to add the new Crux omega What other ball would be a good fit I was considering the Phaze 3
If you are getting the Crux Omega for your heavier oil ball you could do the Phaze 3 for more medium conditions.
How does the Phase 3 compare with Hammer Black Widow Pink?
The Black Widow Pink would be a little stronger because of the asymmetric weight block and this gives it the ability to work in medium to heavy oil but the Phaze III was for medium oil.
How does this ball compare to the Halo Pearl?
This would be a little weaker than the Halo Pearl. The Phaze III is a mid performance for medium oil and the Halo Pearl was a high performance for medium to heavier oil.
With this ball do you get the same reaction and drive through the pins with a 14lb vs a 15lb ball
The 14lb has the same weight block as the 15lb ball but when you are dropping one pound in overall weight it will have a slight difference in how the ball carries through the pins. The 15lb will driver through the pins a little easier so you may have to try and get more entry angle on a 14lb to get similar results.
Phase III vs the 30th anniversary
The Phaze III is going to have a stronger coverstock as well as a stronger weight block to give it a stronger hook compared to the IQ Tour 30.
What is the best cleaner for the Phaze 3 and is it better polished or dull
The ball comes out of the box with a 1500 grit polished finish so the recommended cleaner would be the React Shine Reactive Polish and Cleaner and it is intended to stay polished. However, you may adjust the finish to get a desired reaction that best suites your needs. Here is a link to the cleaner/polish: https://www.bowling.com/products/storm-reacta-shine-reactive-polish---cleaner.htm
What does that.248 mean
The RG value of 2.48 is describing the reaction that the weight block gives this ball. The weight block is designed to try and roll earlier on the lane to give a smoother reaction. However, the cover is designed to go longer on the lanes so while the weight block is trying to rev earlier it will still skid and have a little later break due to the polished finish.
Will polishing any new 2020 bowling ball make it go longer without restricting the shot
If you add polish to just about any bowling ball you are going to get a later reaction on the lanes. It may loose some of the over all hook but it will likely increase some in the backend hook when you add polish. The only balls that you may not see much a difference in would be balls that are already polished out of the box so they are already designed to go longer to begin with.
Will simply cleaning a new 2020 bowling ball make it go longer with good strike potential?
Cleaning a ball will not increase the length. It can increase the hook potential if the ball has lost some of the hook due to it being loaded up with oil and dirt but it is only use to try and restore the hook back similar to the out of the box reaction.
I have a Pysix and an Astro Pysix and want to get a ball that is better for shorter oil patterns. Is the Phaze III a good for shorter oil patterns?
Yes, this would be a great option to handle more medium oil or shorter oil patterns. It has great length similar to the Astrophysix but it is not quite as strong so that helps it to read better in medium oil.
If I’m new to the curve in balls when throw, usually a straight bowler with a little hook, should I buy this first
If you are in a league this would be a good first ball option for leagues. If you are not in a league then you may want to get something a little weaker because on open bowling nights there is not usually as much oil as there would be on league nights.
I currently throw a Storm Snap lock,at 14 to 16 MPH, will the Phase 3 react like the Snap lock. I’ve Bowled about 200 to 300 times does it wear out.
This will have a very similar reaction to the Snap Lock but this would be designed more specifically for medium oil while the Snap Lock handle more medium to heavier oil conditions. So if you wanted something to use when the Snap Lock was getting a little too aggressive you could change down to the Phaze III and it would give you a similar read.
How would the phase 3 compare to the reign of fire?
They will have a very different reaction actually. The Reign of Fire was a mid performance ball and out of the box it had a dull 1000 grit finish which made it ready very early on the lane and have a gradual hook while the Phaze III is an upper mid performance ball that is designed to go long and react with a sharper backend hook.
I’m left handed and roll speed between 11-12mph. I have the storm Hy-Road and interested in the Phase111. I’m a down and in roller. Do u think this ball is good for me? I’m also an active 73 year old lady.
This would give you similar length to the Hy-Road actually. the Phaze III is rated as an upper mid performance while the Hy-Road is considered mid performance so the Phaze III might be a little stronger on the backend.
Would this ball be top much for league/ typical house shot?
No, this would be a great ball for leagues and a typical house shot. It is great in medium oil conditions and gives you good length with a strong backend hook.
how does it compare to the storm hy- road
This ball will have a slightly stronger reaction than the Hy-Road on the backend of the lane but they are actually very comparable.
how will the snap lock compare to the phaze 3
The Snap Lock will be a high performance ball and is designed for medium to heavy oil while the Phaze III is an upper mid performance ball designed for medium oil. The Snap Lock may go just a little longer but it has a stronger backend and overall hook.
I currently throw a 14 lb. Cutting Edge. How does the Phase III compare with it?
It may depend on which Cutting Edge you have. There was a Solid, Hybrid, and Pearl Cutting Edge. The Phaze III would actually line up closest to the Cutting Edge solid in over all performance. The Cutting Edge Pearl would go a little longer and was not quite as strong as the Phaze III. The Cutting Edge Hybrid was a duller finish which helped give it more grip on the lanes to read earlier on the lanes which is different than the polished finish on the Phaze III which reads later on the lanes. The Cutting Edge Solid would read just a little earlier than the Phaze III and be just a little weaker than the Phaze III but they were both good in medium oil conditions.
is the ball symmetric or asymmetric?
The weight block is symmetric.
I have a Brunswick Rhino and want to go either with the Zing Hybrid,Squach hybrid or the Phase 3 ,are these balls similar
If you were looking to move up and get a ball that is similar to your Rhino but that handles more oil and that has a stronger backend hook then the options you have mentioned would be good. The Squatch Hybrid is a mid performance ball, the Phaze 3 is an upper mid performance ball and the Zing! Hybrid was a high performance so they would typically be ranked in that order of least hook to most hook potential but all options would be stronger than the Rhino and work better in medium to heavier oil.
Is the phaze 3 symmetric or asymmetric?
The Phaze 3 has a symmetric weight block.
how do i know what pin/top weight is needed
The pin and top weight are specs that you can request when placing the order if you know the drilling layout you are going to have done on the ball. Certain drilling layouts may require a specific pin distance in order to drill the ball so you would want to check with your driller before hand and confirm what pin and top weight to request in order to get the best layout for your needs. We would not be able to recommend a pin or top weight unfortunately because we would not know how the ball will be drilled at your local proshop.
I currently have Storm Pyro 16lb and Storm Timeless 15 lb and throw between 10 and 12 miles per hour , how does this ball compare to these balls that I have?
This will have similar length and shape to the Timeless but it is not as strong overall so it is more rated for medium oil while the Timeless works more in medium to heavy oil. I am not 100% on the details for the Pyro as it was a much older ball but it the Phaze III is a great compliment to the Timeless.
I’m switching to 2 hands and my speed is around 15.5 mph, is this a good ball for me?
Typically 2 handed release bowlers have a higher rev rate and since your ball speed is pretty average you may be a rev dominant bowler. In this case you want a ball that gets pretty decent length before it reacts so the ball does not hook too strong too early. This Phaze III does have good length with a polished finish and should work well for you on medium oil conditions.
How about slower speed bowlers, have a bad back only get a ave speed around 11.5to 12 mph?
This does have a polished finish to help get down the lanes better which works well for slower ball speeds. This could be a good option for you in medium and some heavier oil conditions due to your ball speed.
What are the differences in Hy-Road pearl and Phase 3
They are both going to work well in medium oil but the Phaze III is a little stronger hook potential than the Hy-Road Pearl. The Hy-Road Pearl goes a little longer on the lanes so it has less time to react compared to the Phaze III which has a slightly earlier reaction with a hybrid cover.
In my arsenal, I have: Rotogrip Wreck-Em, Track Kinetic Green, Columbia Tyrant, Storm Tropical Breeze, Hammer Arson. I am looking to buy Phaze lll and/or Trend. Which ball would fit my arsenal? I Bowl 2x a week on leagues and compete on tournaments 5-7 X a year. My bowling center has medium to dry lanes.
To break down your arsenal currently you have the Tyrant which is your heavy oil ball which reads mid lane, you have the Arson which is a medium oil ball that reads midlane, you have the Kinetic Emerald which is for medium oil but reads later on the lane, then the Wreck-Em works in medium to light oil and reads later and lastly the Tropical Breeze is light oil and later reaction. So of the two balls you are looking at, both are for late hook but the Phaze is more in medium oil and the Trend is more medium to heavy oil. I think the Trend would fill more of a gap between your Tyrant and the Arson or Kinetic so that may be the best fit.
Is this a symmetrical
This ball has a Symmetric weight block.
I'm a thumbless league bowler. I currently have a Storm Tropical Surge for lighter conditions/more control, and am planning on getting the Phaze 3 for to open up the lanes gutter to gutter. What would be a good 3rd Storm ball to round out my arsenal for league play?
It may depend on where you need the 3rd ball to play. I would say to get the Phaze 3 and use that for a little while and then see where you need the 3rd ball to fit. If you need something between the Tropical Surge and the Phaze 3 we can look there or if you still need something for heavier oil then we could look there.
How does this ball compare to Storm"Timeless"??
This ball will be very similar to the Timeless but it will have a little less hook potential. Because of the less hook potential it is more suited for medium oil while the Timeless was more for medium to heavy oil.
How do you measure for finger inserts
We offer custom drilling for some weights and if you have your measurements from a previous drill sheet, you may fill out our drill sheet and we can do the drilling for you. Unfortunately, if you do not already know your measurements, we would not be able to do the custom drilling and you would have to get the ball drilled at a local proshop.
What is a centripetal core
The Centripetal Core is the weight block that Storm uses in a lot of their 12-13lb performance balls. To see a picture and more details of this weight block, here is a link to this on Storms website: https://www.stormbowling.com/phazeiii
How does the phase iii compare to the phase ii?
The Phaze III is designed to give you more length with a sharper backend hook compared to the Phaze II which would read earlier in the midlane and have smoother arcing hook.
Compare storm marvel to phase 3 bowling ball
The Storm Marvel had a solid coverstock and duller finish and was designed to read the midlane with a smooth arcing hook. The Phaze III has a hybrid coverstock and polished finish to give it more length and it will have a sharper backend hook compared to the Marvel. Also, the Marvel was designed to work in medium to heavy oil because of the duller finish while the Phaze III is designed to work best in medium oil conditions.
Looking for a ball that goes long and in
This ball has a polished finish which will help this ball to have good length on the lane. On medium oil this will go have a sharp backend. If you get into heavier oil it will go even longer.
How does this ball compare to the Beyond Ridiculous?
They are actually very comparable. They both have a similar finish and cover and both are designed for medium oil conditions. Both are also rated as upper mid performance balls so they are going to have a very similar reaction.
How do you fit for drilling?...figure for side, top and other combinations? h;ow does that guarantee work?e, can I get finger inserts?.balance holes
In order for us to do the drilling you would need a previous drill sheet that has all of your measurements already. Without a drill sheet that has been filled out by a proshop we would not be able to do the drilling unfortunately.
How does this compare to the Roto Grip Hustle RAP?
The Phaze III will be a stronger hooking ball because it is an upper mid performance ball and it is meant for medium oil only. The Hustle RAP is a mid performance ball with a pearl cover and works more in medium to lighter oil conditions.
How does Phaze lll compare to rocket ship
There are several difference between this and the Rocket Ship. The Rocket Ship was a mid performance ball with a solid cover and slightly duller finish to read a little earlier on the lane. The Phaze III is a stronger bowling ball and in the upper mid performance category but it gets more length with the hybrid cover with a polished finish.
How do you get the finger holes so they fit you.
For us to do the drilling we would need you to provide the measurements from a previous drilling or a drill sheet that was filled out through a proshop. This is the only way we could do the drilling. If you did not have this we could send the ball without holes and you can have it drilled locally.
What would be a good lower ball to compliment with this ball?
The Electrify Pearl or a Tropical Surge could work in lighter oil when this ball is getting too strong or starting to react too early.
is the phase 3 a symmetrical
Yes, the Phaze III has a Symmetric weight block
Is this a good ball for a female?
