Why would the shoes have dirt on it already...unless it’s half used?

The bottom of this bowling shoe has white slide soles on it. If a person tries this shoe on in their home but is not careful when trying the shoe on then it could get the soles dirty. When this came back the soles looked dirty but not necessarily used so that is why we are offering them as almost new because they cannot be sold as new since they are a little dirty but they are not used because they are not as dirty as a shoe would be if they bowling on the lanes with them. After looking at this exact shoe (size 8.5) this shoe was actually not dirty at all. The problem on this was that the customer taped up the Brunswick shoe box and shipped it back with the label directly on the shoe box. So the shoe box was damaged because they taped it up and we cannot sell this as new because the shoe box was not new anymore.
