The Cutting Edge Pearl is a great ball for medium to lighter oil conditions. I find this ball to be most useful once other balls like my fearless hook too early and I am looking to continue to open my angles. The Cutting Edge Pearl is weaker that the previous two Cutting Edge releases and fits just underneath the Solid in terms of hook. This is the most angular ball in the line and gives fantastic length. If you like the long and strong reaction and are looking for a step up from the Rhino series, check this one out.

The Missing Link in the Cutting Edge Line
The Cutting Edge line is designed to be a "benchmark" line where each ball in this family will provide a smooth, even, predictable roll on the backend. There is nothing "flashy" about these balls, but they are so reliable and predictable, you will want them in your bag.
The latest edition is the Cutting Edge Pearl. Given it's pearlized cover stock, you can predict a little more length than the Cutting Edge Solid, but more "flip" on the backend. This ball is great if you want more length than the Cutting Edge Solid but don't want to move your feet that much, if any.
Also, this ball tends to rev up on the backend. It's great at storing energy through the front part of the lane, so when it gets into the roll phase on the backend, it's going to hit hard.

Great addition to the Cutting Edge line
The Cutting Edge Pearl is a great addition to the Cutting Edge line. The Cutting Edge Pearl is cleaner through the fronts than the Cutting Edge Solid, and has a strong flip motion on the backend. I drilled mine for medium to light oil for when the front part of the lane become pretty dry and need a ball to skid through the dry and maintain a strong motion on the backend. The Cutting Edge Pearl is a great benchmark ball to have in your bag.

The Cutting Edge Pearl is the newest from the Cutting Edge line. As with the other balls in the line, this ball is a great ball at the price point. Its great when the lanes begin breaking down and you need something to clean through the head with enough pop to make the turn down lane. You could make a lower cost 3 ball arsenal with the 3 Cutting Edge balls alone. Overall this is a great ball that's clean through the heads and a predictable yet angular reaction on the back.
