The Storm Proton PhysiX high-performance bowling ball was designed to offer traction and hook on just about any heavy oil condition you might come across. This bowling ball is the third in the popular PhysiX line and continues the success of the Atomic core. The low RG of the core assists in producing spin on the ball and when combined with the NeX Solid Reactive coverstock this ball is unstoppable on heavy oil conditions. The Proton PhysiX offers a good midlane read while generating a strong entry angle that will maximize pin carry.
How strong is this ball compared to ufo and gravity evolve
This will be extremely similar to the Gravity Evolve in almost every aspect with a solid cover, 2000 grit finish, and similar RG values. The UFO will give you a little more length from the weight block but will still be pretty similar.
How does this ball compare to the roto grip Wreck-em?
This is going to be drastically different than the Wreck-em. The Wreck-em was a mid performance ball for medium to light oil and it had a pearl cover and polished finish to go long on the lanes. The Proton Physix is a high performance for heavy oil conditions with a solid cover and dull finish to read earlier on the lanes for a smooth arcing hook.
How does this ball compare to the Axiom ?
The Proton Physix is a high performance ball with a stronger asymmetric weight block and works in heavier oil conditions only. The Axiom is an upper mid performance ball with a symmetric weight block and rated more for medium to heavy oil. Both read the midlanes and have a smoother hook down the lane but the Proton Physix will be stronger
What is the price ship to Singapore
International shipping is available but it will be calculated during your checkout and is based on the exact items in your cart and the shipping country and zip code.
Can this ball Proton Physix use for not so oily condition or even dry lane condition
How does the proton physix compare to the physix and astro phsix?
The Proton Physix is the solid cover in this group and has the dullest out of the box finish so it will read the earliest on the lanes. The AstroPhysix is the Pearl with a polished finish so it will read the latest on the lanes and the original Physix was a Hybrid cover and the finish was in between the others so it will read later than the Proton Physix and earlier than the Astrophysix.
How does the Proton Physix compare to Crux Prime?
The coverstock and finish would be very similar but the weight block on the Proton Physix will start reading earlier and have a slightly stronger flare than the Crux Prime.
How will this compare to the radical incognito?
They would have an extremely similar reaction. Both have a solid coverstock finished at 2000 grit and the weight blocks essentially give you the same RG values. So they will be very similar in reaction.
Do you ship to Canada?
how does this ball compare to the black widow 2.0 and the new Web?
This ball is in the high performance category while the Widow 2.0 and the Web MB are upper mid performance balls. So the Proton Physix will have a slightly higher hook potential. The Widow 2.0 has a solid cover with a 2000 grit finish just like the Proton Physix so they will have a similar shape by hooking earlier in the midlane but the Web MB has a pearl cover and polished finish to go later on the lanes and have a sharper backend hook.
How will this ball differ from pitch black thinking about buying
This will be much stronger than the Pitch Black. This is considered a high performance ball to handle heavier oil conditions and the Pitch Black is more for lighter oil conditions. It will be a very drastic difference in hook potential.
Is this a lot stronger then zero gravity storm
Can I use on house dhot
This ball is designed to work in heavier oil conditions so it may be a little strong for a typical house shot. You may could use this the first game with fresh oil and if you do not have a high rev rate then this could work. If you have a high rev rate then this may be too strong for even the first game on typical house shots.
Can you shine this ball?
Yes, if you need more length on this you could add a polish to it but this ball is designed to read earlier on the lanes so the duller finish works best with this coverstock and match up and if you needed more length then you may search for a ball that is already designed to give you more length.
I have too questions? The first question is this can you use this on an house shot? Here is my second question i know that storm does not have an rating system but if you had to rate it what would you rate it?
This ball will be very aggressive and have a high hook potential. It really needs heavy oil to work best so if your bowling center has heavier oil at the beginning of the night you may could use this but at some point during the night as the lanes start to dry out some you would need to change to another ball that works more in medium oil.

I am thinking about getting the proton physix or6 the parallax effect i have an medium reve rate which one do I need?
It may depend on your ball speed also. If you have a higher ball speed and were speed dominant then the Proton Physix may be a better option. If your ball speed is slower and you are rev dominant then the Parallax Effect would be better. If you have a medium speed and medium rev rate then it will just depend on your personal preference. The Proton Physix reads the lanes earlier and has a smooth arcing hook while the Parallax Effect goes longer on the lanes and has a sharp backend hook.
Will this ball be a good ball to pair with the tropical surge
I think this option will be a pretty big step up from the Tropical Surge and it may leave you with a gap in between. You may want to go with something more like a Axiom Pearl which would give you a similar reaction in length but is strong enough to work more in medium to heavier oil conditions and keep your Tropical for medium to lighter oil conditions.
I have an question would the parallax effect be an good ball to the porton physix to have in your bag
They will both have a different reaction on heavier oil conditions. The Proton Physix is designed to read the lanes earlier and have a smoother arcing hook while the Parallax Effect is designed to go longer on the lanes and have a sharper backend hook. So if you have a need to have two different looks on heavier oil then you may like to have both options in your bag.
I currently have the electrify hybrid and I only throw it 14.5 to 15 mph. I’m wanting something a little more stronger? Would the proton physix be too strong for me on a house shot? Thanks
Moving up from the Electrify Hybrid to the Proton Physix will be a large jump up in performance and this ball will have a much stronger hook potential. It also reads the lanes earlier for a smoother arcing hook compared to the Electrify which has more length and a sharper backend hook. The Proton Physix may work the first game of a league night but it will quickly become too strong because the lanes will start to break down and dry out and this ball needs a lot of oil. You may prefer to go with something that is not quite as strong to be able to use it longer before having to transition to the Electrify Hybrid for lighter oil. You may check out the Storm Phaze II or Storm Incite Hybrid.
I just bought the Zen Proton Physics and want to calm the hook down. How do you suggest I do that?
If the ball is hooking too much or too early then you could try to add polish to the cover to help the ball go longer and this will take away some of the over all hook potential. Here is a Storm polish : https://www.bowling.com/products/storm-xtra-shine-all-purpose-polish.htm
How does this ball compare to the Jackal Legacy? Which has higher hook potential?
It is hard to compare the coverstocks because there is not a number that they put on the strength of the coverstock. Both are high performance balls with Solid Reactive coverstocks at a 2000 grit finish out of the box so just going by the strength of the weight block the Proton Physix is RG 2.48 and RG Dif .053 while the Jackal Legacy is RG 2.47 and RG Dif .054. This would mean the Jackal Legacy starts reading just a little earlier and has slightly more flare potential.
Do u have 4.5 pin
We are not able to confirm the pin placement before an order is placed unfortunately. You may enter the pin placement you want in the pin / top weight box just below the weight selection box before adding to the shopping cart. When the order is sent to our warehouse for packaging they will try to find a ball that matches your request and call you if we have any trouble finding it.
Can this use the porton physix on medium lanes if you start on the 20th board? Or do you need to get the parallet effect?
Both the Parallax Effect and the Proton Physix are rated for heavy oil only. If you had to use one in medium oil the Parallax Effect would be able to get you more length so it has a better chance of working in medium oil but it would not be ideal in medium oil.
How strong is this ball compared to the Globel900 Reality for strongest hooking ablity?
It is hard to compare the strength of the coverstocks but both balls are high performance balls with a solid reactive coverstock and both are finished at 2000 grit out of the box. If we just compare the weight blocks the Proton Physix weight block will read just a touch earlier and have just slightly more flare potential so I may give it a slightly higher hook potential because of this.
i’ve been thinking about getting this for my birthday. what is the pros and cons and what is the hook potential? and how well does it do on heavy and light oil?
This ball is a high performance bowling ball that is only intended to work in heavier oil conditions and it will have a strong arcing hook. If you were needing something that read the lanes early with a continuous hook then this would be a great option for you in heavier oil. The cons would be that because this ball is so strong it would not work well in medium to lighter oil conditions.
Does the 13lb Storm Proton Physix have an asymmetric core?
Here is a link to view the weight block on Storms website in each weight : https://www.stormbowling.com/protonphysix-4
What is the RG on 13 lbs on the Storm Proton Physix?
So i am thinking about this ball right. Right now I have volatility torque what is the difference?
The Proton Physix has a solid coverstock with a duller finish to help it read more in the midlane for a smoother arcing hook down the lane. The Volatility Torque was a pearl coverstock with a polished finish which would go longer on the lane and have a sharper backend hook. The Proton Physix can work better in really heavy oil while the Volatility can work down into medium oil a little better because of the length.
Core in a 13lb ball the same..
The 13lb will have a different weight block. To see that you may view it here: https://www.stormbowling.com/protonphysix-4
How would this ball compare to the storm dark code?
The Proton Physix is designed to read earlier on the lane and have a smoother arcing hook while the Dark Code was designed to go longer on the lanes for more backend hook.
woman backup throw 13 pound would be good for 3 league games
This ball would work for the first game when there is fresh oil. It really needs a lot of oil to work correctly. If you are playing on a side of the lane were fewer people are throwing then the oil could stay there longer letting you use it into the 2nd game but it may change eventually to more medium to lighter oil and then this ball would be too strong.
will ball be good for stroker bowler. slower speed
This is not ideal for someone with a slower ball speed because it will start reading earlier on the lanes and may hook too much too early. You may prefer something that gives you more length like a Parallax Effect or Dark Code.
So I have the proton and it’s the first ball I use out of my bag what ball would be good to have when the proton gets too strong for lane conditions I do have a low rev rate
You could use the Storm IQ Tour as a good step down and it would be an easier transition that gives you more length than the Proton Physix and can work down into medium oil. The other option would be something like the Phaze III which has even more length than the IQ Tour and works even more down into medium oil.
