The DV8 Thug Life pairs a composite pearl coverstock with the Thug Low RG asymmetric core and is finished with a 5 Siaair pad and Royal Compound. This combination creates an all purpose ball that gives max flip on medium to oily lane conditions. This ball truly has an attitude problem!
I recently picked up this ball because the Thug line is absolutely amazing! I needed a ball in by bag that I would be able to keep on the right side when the lanes break down and know I could trust in the ball. I drilled the ball pin down and threw it at my youth league this past Saturday. The lanes dry out so quick so this is when I knew the ball would shine! I was able to shoot 648 over 3 games (I average 181). Even if you miss into the dry too early or you don't get the ball out of the oil, it will still make its way into the pocket with great carry! I suggest you pick one up! It will be a great ball in anyone's bag!
The Thug Life with it's Composite Tecnology cover stock is great on this ball for being a Pearl Cover. I drilled this ball the same as my Thug. This ball is 3 to 4 boards stronger down lane for me and I love the mid lane move this ball makes. Just crushes the pins! Its a step up from the Vandal for me. Ball is surprisingly clean up front and gives me a lot of area. If I missed right a little it recovered very nicely. If I missed left a little the ball just set up in the oil and never crossed. It held pocket. These new Composite cover are amazingly strong and consistant. I strongly suggest those who are looking for a strong concistant ball that is clean in the front, strong angle off the break point and just keeps going left through the pin deck this ball is a must!
At 55x5x30 I drilled my Thug Life identical to my Thug Corrupt, I really like my Thug Corrupt and was hoping to get a ball that compliments it. The Thug Life does just that, it provides the technology of a top end asymmetric ball (composite coverstock technology and asymmetric core), without requiring the high volume of oil necessary for most asymmetric balls these days. The Thug Life clears the heads easier than the Thug Corrupt, but still creates the same great midlane roll and strength off the corner. Compared to a Vandal with the same layout, the Thug Life is about 3 feet earlier and 3-4 boards stronger. The Thug Life will be a great option for anyone who bowls in a house that doesn't put out a ton of oil, or a low rev or high speed bowler that is looking for more of a skid flip motion, but needs help getting the ball around the corner.
I drilled the Thug Life up 60 x 4 1/2 x 35...similar to some other balls that I've liked recently.
The Thug Life is positioned between the Thug Corrupt and Vandal. It clears the front of the lane better than the sanded Thug Corrupt, but isn't as clean as the Vandal. The midlane is a heavy roll, and the backend is a strong, hard arc. The Thug Life is 2-3 boards less aggressive than the Corrupt, and about 2-3 boards more hook, with a more rounded shape, than the Vandal.
I can see the Thug Life working well for slower ball speeds or higher rev rates on heavier oil. For those with less hand or higher speed, the Thug life would be a great compliment to the most aggressive ball their bag.
This ball has the new composite cover technology. It's a pearl ball so it's still clean through the front part of the lane with great mid lane roll and really picks up off the end of the pattern and hits like a truck! Its a little cleaner than the thug corrupt in the heads, so when your corrupt is a little early and losing reaction down lane, switch to the thug life and you'll get than clean motion through the front and the reaction off the pattern you're looking for! Oh and this ball definitely strikes, as it already has a U.S. OPEN title to its name. Great product, definitely recommend to anyone!

The DV8 Thug Life is a great addition to the DV8 Company as a whole. This ball has an amazing pearl composite cover that is combined with the Thug Low RG Asymmetric core. You will see high hook potential with medium length. I did personally shine mine up a little more to get a few more feet of length and I am very impressed with how the ball reacts. The Thug Life is ideal for medium to heavy oil conditions. This is a great compliment to the rest of the Thug Life.

After having really good results with my Thug Corrept I couldn't wait to see what this ball did. In short, I have never had a ball that snaps out the 10 pin as much as this ball does. I average maybe 2 ten pins in a three game series now I have so many messengers taking it out I feel like I am cheating sometimes. I have had balls that I thought were hard hitters and carried well, but none as well as this ball.

I have this ball drilled with the pin below the bridge and CG stacked directly beneath (I'm right handed). The new DV8 cover technology simply cannot be beat right now. My Thug Life is more smooth off the break, but it finishes through the pins unbelievably well. The pearl cover helps it get through the heads consistently well, but then you see the power of the new composite technology. The ball finishes so well through the pins that your "pocket" almost seems to get bigger. You pay less penalty for shots that aren't as good as you would like. The Thug Life is a great benchmark choice for someone looking to build a good arsenal. This ball will be in my bag for quite some time, and I think everyone should go out and purchase one. Thank you DV8! The Thug life is exceptional.
I have been throwing my Thug Life for 2 months now and absolutely love the way this ball rolls. I took this ball which is skid flip and drilled it weak with the pin down. This gave me a totally different look I have never had before. This ball is easy to control through the heads and still has enough on the backend to carry through the pins. This is a great ball for me on tougher patterns. I will definitely have this ball in my bag when I go to nationals this year!

The Thug Life is something special! This ball is a step from the Vandal. On the lanes, it is very clean through the fronts with a heavy roll in the backend. On longer patterns, you will be able to move right and play straight up the lanes and not worry about the ball not performing. On the shorter patterns, this ball will give you enough length and backend in order to dominate!!
