Question:

How is this bowling ball compared to the Storm Phaze III

7/7/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Phaze III has a more polished finish to go longer on the lanes with more angular hook on the backend while the !Q Tour Nano has a duller finish out of the box so it reads more in the midlane and has a smoother more forgiving overall hook.

Question:

Will this bowling ball pair good with the Storm Phaze 3

7/7/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, this would give you a good 1-2 punch. The !Q Tour Nano would act as your midlane ball that could work in some heavier oil and your Phaze 3 would be a good transition ball as the lanes get more medium and as you need more length.

Question:

How is this compare to IQ tour

7/16/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

They are going to have a pretty close reaction overall but we can break down some of the key features. They have the same weight block but the IQ Tour Nano has a pearl coverstock where the IQ Tour has a solid coverstock. Normally this would mean the IQ Tour Nano would read later on the lanes. However, the IQ Tour Nano also has a slightly duller finish at 3000 grit while the IQ Tour has a 4000 grit so that gets their reactions a little closer. If you were to make adjustments to the finish then you could get more length from the IQ Tour Nano for a sharper backend but as they come out of the box they would be pretty similar overall.

Question:

How does this Nano compare to it's previous predecessor?

7/27/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The previous IQ Tour was the Emerald which was a pearl coverstock and polished finish to give it more length. This ball has a pearl coverstock but the finish was 3000 grit so this will read more in the midlanes because of the duller finish. The IQ Tour Nano can also handle a little more oil because it has the duller finish to help it grip.

Question:

How does this Nano compare to the previous !Q Tour Nano?

7/29/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The original Nano was a solid coverstock at a 4000 grit finish and the current Nano was a pearl cover which gives it a more length but a duller 3000 grit finish to help it have a smoother reaction on the backend.

Question:

what would be the difference between this and the omega crux ?

8/2/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

They have different strength pearl coverstocks with the Omega Crux coverstock being stronger. Also the Omega Crux has a stronger weight block than the Tour Nano so this helps the Omega Crux work better in heavier oil than the Tour Nano will.

Question:

How would it pair with the sonic

8/9/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The SonIQ was designed to go longer but it actually had a stronger weight block. The IQ Tour Nano has a duller finish to help it grip more so they may end up being similar in overall hook but just different on the length.

Question:

what are the lane conditions such as oil length when a pearl ball is more effective than a solid ?

8/16/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are a lot of variables that could effect which type of ball would work best for a bowler and also when it is best to transition to a ball with more length. You have to also factor in ball speed, rev rate, oil pattern, and strength of the ball being used.

Question:

How this bowling ball compare to the Storm Super Soniq

8/22/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The IQ Tour Nano will give you a little more length than the Super Soniq and the Super Soniq would be a little stronger overall hook potential. This will work better in medium oil than the Super Soniq did and the Super Soniq would handle heavier oil a little better than the IQ Tour Nano.

Question:

How would this ball compare to the IQ Emerald?

8/24/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The IQ Tour Nano is going to read the lanes earlier than the IQ Emerald. The IQ Tour Nano falls in between the Super Soniq and the Emerald in performance. It is stronger than the Emerald but not as strong as the Super Soniq. It reads earlier than the Emerald but not as early as the Super Soniq.

Question:

whats the main difference between the IQ NANO and the Wild Streak ? thanks

9/1/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are two key differences. The IQ Nano has a pearl coverstock so that will tend to give you more length than the solid coverstock on the Wild Streak. However the weight block on the IQ Nano reads earlier than the Wild Streak but the Wild Streak weight block gets more flare potential. So the Wild Streak overall should ready a little earlier and stronger compared to the IQ Nano which gives you a little more length and controllable backend.

Question:

is it ok to take the lane shine off with a 3000 pad ?

9/13/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This comes out of the box with a 3000 grit finish. I would not suggest cleaning off the oil from the lane by sanding it. I would use a towel and oil remover or cleaner to help extract any lane oil or dirt out of the cover. I would clean it at the end of every night you use it to avoid the cover getting too much oil absorbed in.

Question:

How weii will the IQ Tour Nano perform at 12 pounds

2/13/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The 12lb weight block will give you an RG of 2.65 and a RG Diff of .035. This will react a little later on the lane but the weight block will give it more flare than the 15lb which helps to make up for the extra length.

Question:

Will Storm Max match good with this bowling ball.

6/10/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Storm Hy-Road Max is a mid performance ball with a solid cover and dull finish to help it read earlier in the midlane for smooth arcing hook. The IQ Tour Nano has a duller finish to help it read a little earlier but the pearl cover will give it a little more length. Since the IQ Tour Nano is an upper mid performance ball it will handle a little more oil because it has a little stronger hook potential but it is not a huge step up in over all hook. If you have the Hy-Road max and need something for more oil you may look at something like the Storm Axiom or the Storm Proton Physix.

Question:

Great benchmark ball. Trying to build a 3 ball around this ball, any suggestions? Medium speed tweener, medium-heavy house shot

6/22/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Storm Phaze III is a good option that would give you more length and work well in medium oil conditions. That may give you a different look on some medium to heavy oil if you needed to find a new line from what the Nano is able to do. Then you could also look at a Hy-Road Pearl or Electrify Pearl as a good light oil ball for at the end of the night. If you needed a ball option for heavier oil when the IQ Tour Nano was not strong enough you may also look at a Storm Axiom or Phaze II.

Question:

How is this ball on light to medium oil

8/5/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

In the out-of-box finish this ball is going to be a little too strong for lighter oil conditions. It is rated for medium and some heavy oil. If you were to refinish the coverstock to a polished finish you may be able to get this to work in some light oil conditions but it would be a very aggressive backend hook on light oil if you polished it.
