Hammer Infamous
The Hammer Infamous introduces a new core design that is symmetric but full of technology. For this ball, Hammer is using multi-densities inside the core that produce different ball motions. The Infamous core uses a large extra-dense flip block on the top of the main body of the core and it has a radial disc on the bottom for added backend motion. This ball has a total of 4 densities on the inside which includes the Carbon Fiber outer core. The coverstock on the Infamous is the Envy Solid. This core and cover combination creates a ball that is both unique and useful.

Infamous
The Infamous core has a large extra-dense flip block that sits on the top of the core body, and it features a radial disc on the bottom of the ball that helped give the original Obsession extra motion on the backend. For me, this ball is very predictable on heavier oil, a ball you can keep in front of you for a predictable path to the pins.

Hammer Infamous
I used a 60 x 4 x 30, pin up, layout. This ball is now my benchmark or first ball out of my back. I have used this ball on sport and house conditions and it rolls great. It really controls the mids and has a continuous down lane motion. It blends out the wet/dry conditions for me. If you’re looking for a strong and predictable symmetrical solid, this is it!

Hammer Infamous
Here are my thoughts on the new Hammer Infamous. The Infamous features a brand new, multi density high RG/high differential symmetrical core wrapped by an Envy Solid coverstock colored in gray/royal/coral. Box finish is 2000 Siaair. The layout on the one I drilled is 60 x 5 x 20 and I have thrown it on both fresh and burnt THS. I have tried it at box surface and 4000 Siaair. My vitals are 403 RPM and a PAP of 5 9/16 over and 1/8 up.
The Infamous covers an awful lot of territory and definitely is best suited for higher volumes of oil. I preferred mine at 4000 Siaair for the THS just because I don't have a ton of speed and with the older SPL surface, it helps to get the ball down the lane a little easier than the 2000 Siaair box surface. Once the Infamous sees friction, it goes left quickly and keeps going. Personally, given the amount of response down lane, I probably will put this ball in play on higher volume patterns with medium to longer distances. From what I see, the response to friction is quick so if the pattern is too short or there is alot of wet/dry, the Infamous may be a bit touchy (unless you have sufficient speed to control any wet/dry in which case the Infamous may be in play) which is why I will like it on longer distances with the proper volume.

Hammer Infamous
Hammer has come out with a very nice benchmark type bowling ball with the Infamous. It is a first ball out of the bag kinda ball as the motion is so predictable. I had the opportunity to throw this at the Senior US Open recently. I did not perform well at all, but the Infamous accounted my best series of games on a very difficult pattern. It is about 3 or 4 boards stronger than my Web Tour Hybrid. This will be in play for me on house & sport patterns quite a bit.

INFAMOUS FOREVER
This ball cannot get enough time in my hands. I see this as an option that is a pinch stronger than the Web Line. The INFAMOUS is about 3 boards stronger than my Web Tour Hybrid and about 3-4 less than my Obsession Tour Pearl. The colors look amazing and the hitting power this ball comes with is unparalleled. Add in the DOT technology to this ball and you get something that is INFAMOUS!
A favorite among my house shot leagues and something that can work very well on the sport shots depending on what volume you are bowling on.
Smooth and strong best describes this ball and the shelf appeal is great!

Strong and versatile
The infamous is a special piece. This ball is very versatile and handles many different lane patterns. Being a stronger symmetrical piece it handles the oil extremely well but also blends out wet/dry better than any ball I have thrown. I have been able to keep my angles tight and play the oil line as well as get steeper with my angles and the ball not lose energy and still get through the pins property. This has permanent place in my bag for house shots and patterns.

With the higher RG I decided to try a 60x 5 x 35 drilling. When I first went to test this ball, no kidding it hooked!!, I mean t hooked!!! When it got a little lane shine this ball mellowed out to be one of my all time favorite Hammer bowling balls. With the higher RG it clears the fronts with ease, then the core takes over and it continues off the back. Do not overlook this gem!

The ball shows to be for medium to heavy oil so if you have lower revs then you can use it further down into medium oil or maybe even some lighter oil conditions.

My house lanes are typically more dry than medium to heavy oil with this ball work on those Lane conditions

Answer:
This would not work ideally in drier conditions. It would try to hook earlier than it should and also stronger and it would make this harder to control and the ball would not carry well. I would suggest finding a ball more suited for lighter oil to drier oil conditions so that the ball matches your lane conditions.
