Storm has joined forces with multi PBA champion Jason Belmonte to create a ball that they feel will be timeless. The Storm Timeless is the first ball to be released in Storm's Signature Line of bowling balls. This ball uses the unique Dual-Drive core and partners it with the amazing R2S coverstock. This core and cover team creates a ball that is fast-revving like the IQ Tour and hits with power much like the Hy-Road.
The Dual-Drive core is a weight block within a weight block. These two weight blocks work together to create a ball core that generates faster revving action and a greater amount of energy transmission at the pins. The R2S Hybrid Reactive coverstock glides through the front of the lane and then reacts to the backend with a unique motion.
TIMELESS What a great piece for the first release in the Signature line. THIS BALL IS INCREDIBLE!!!!! It's a Hyroad on juice. And the shelf appeal is absolutely one of the best looking balls ever!! (But my favorite color is blue) I drilled two of them, but the one in the review is 5x5x2. I bowled on a fresh 39' house shot with ths layout, I could do anything my game allows me to do. I could go straight up the boards or I could get in and cover half of the lane. Someone with a lot of hand will have all of the lane. The Timeless is as clean if not cleaner than the Hyroad, but the back end motion is so much stronger. For me this Timeless had recovery from everywhere. Sometimes for me the Hyroad got a little squirrelly on wet dry patterns, but the Timeless with the dual weight block seems to blend those type of patterns out. As more games were bowled I could keep moving left and the backend motion was just as strong as ever. This Timeless ball will be a great house shot ball and as clean as it is through the fronts, I think it'll be an even better sport shot ball. Great job by Jason Belmonte and everyone else involved...
I haven't used it but my son says it's great!
Just tried my Storm Timeless out of the box, had a 178 192 142 196 165 188 and topped off with a 223. This is on medium to heavy oil, and after the fifth game I moved to a different lane that I detected had fresher oil, and then bowled the 188 and 223. Everybody is giving this ball 5 stars, and they are right, I am only a 150 bowler, but this ball is superb first time I bowled this well since 2016. Tonight they had a special at my bowling alley $5 for unlimited bowling 8pm to close, and the $5 was well worth it for the high game. In the 7th game I had 5 strikes in a row. Very good ball. My best series ever is a 672 and game a 268. I have good feelings I will top those scores in the next league I play in with the Timeless.
Well what can I say.... The ball has an amazing appearance and looks great with the gold accent. I drilled 2 of these balls. 1st ball - 80/4 1/4"/35, 2nd ball - 75/3 7/8"/50. I wanted one to set up later and then one to read the lane earlier. Both balls get through the heads very easily for a hybrid cover, and maintain lots of energy for the backend. The TIMELESS has a very controllable motion through the midland and backend. My first game out of the box I shot 287 and had lots of room with Drilling #2. Even if I missed my target by a board or two, it still maintained control through the pocket. Light hits which I was sure would leave a 10 pin never did. With the DUAL weight blocks you can see how hard the ball hits and continues through the pocket. The best Hybrid I have ever thrown. Very versatile on many conditions. I have thrown it on house, and sport shots and been able to line up and create a great look. If your looking for control and lots of hitting power the TIMELESS is your ball.
The duel weight core makes this ball move on the back end, I did a 3 to 4 inch pin placement, it really gets down the lane, then glides to the pocket Great ball
First game out of box 248 with two opens. Then a 209 with 3 opens. So it works well, but you must adjust.
Part of the reason I selected "Timeless" is because Belmonte is my favorite bowler, and I believed it had to be good. However, it is an "Excellent" ball that I have used in multiple centers and many different lane conditions, etc. and I am more impressed. The glow of It on the lane attracts so much attention during league that bowlers from other lanes wanted to know about the ball at every center I used it.. My coach and I agree that "Timeless" is an excellent ball choice for me and my high scores during league and practice confirms. Color and smell are bonuses. I highly recommend this ball to bowlers at all levels, Many Thanks to all who assisted in its existence.
I recently drilled up the new Storm Timeless. My layout was 60x5x30 this ball is very clean in the front part of the lane. Gives you a great look in the mid lane like and IQ and still has a strong backend motion. This was the same layout I used on my Phaze II and compared too my Phaze II this ball looks great when you need to step left and get that little extra. This is a great addition to the Storm product line and a great choice to add to your bag.
I got this ball just after it came out and i have to say it is awesome. Because I bowl two-handed I have a very high speed and rev rate and with this powerful ball it makes the pins just explode.
all I will throw are storms because I think there better than the rest of them. I tried several other brands but once I threw a storm for the first time I have not switched. and timeless is really the best so far but my match up comes close. especially throwing left handed I can make this ball hook both ways lol just a little twist of the wrist
