Become a bowling Mastermind. This is a super aggressive hooking ball produced by Brunswick with it's never before seen: Honor Roll Reactive Coverstock is sure to satisfy. This Coverstock and Core pairing will be a strong angular velocity hook straight to the pocket.
This ball is ridiculous. Hooks a ton, and just crushes the pins. I have it drilled pin over the fingers with a 5x35x5 layout
Great all around ball smooth roll reaction, hits hard and clears the deck.
I can use mine all three games, easy to adjust even as the shot breaks down and everything you would need and expect from a Bruinswick ball.
As a League bowl with an average of 170, I purchase the Mastermind on October 16, 2014. On October 21, 2014 in League Bowling I bowled a 255-235-232 for a total of 722 Pins. This was the first time ever hitting that mark.
I bought 3 Balls before this one. My first Driller wouldn't even drill it for me, he thought it was too strong. Well too strong is not my problem. I got a different Pro to drill it for me. My first game was 244. Since then I've shot 2 600's and 8 Deuces. My Average WAS 168. You could say I'm Happy with the ball!! I think I'll buy a couple more since their discontinuing it.
Mastermind 70 x 4.5 x 35
Pattern Route 66, 45' long
Rough Buff finish
This ball is very aggressive with the OOB finish. My house has older lanes with higher friction so I rough buffed the coverstock. I haven't been able to use this ball at all until we put out the Route 66 pattern for our league. In four games I never had to change balls, chased the pattern left all night and still carried the corners. It reads the lane very well with good continuation through the pins.
You definitely need some oil for this ball. The cover responds very well to surface adjustments for fine tuning!
This ball has good breaking on the back end. I throw a "full roller" and wanted more break and this ball will do that. This ball will improve my game. Brunswick makes good balls. Looking forward to the new bowling season.
I have ball drilled pin inside fingers. Smooth ball for an aggressive ball. Can strike from anywhere. Hits hard and will send messengers from everywhere.
pobabally the smoothest ball i own im a higher rev player so i put the pin in nuetral because i can still generate enough reacion and it not get snappy.i love it another great product from brunswick pluss it reminds me of my favorite ball ever made the brunswick copperhead .
Awesome ball pick this up for my son who is a freshman in high school. We had it drilled 2 days before his high school sectionals and he rolled about 20 games before the tourney. First game with the lights on he rolls 299 with a stone 9 pin on the last ball (he is left handed). Also bowled 2 700's the first weekend with it and now we are off to regionals this weekend hopefully more of the same :-)
I am a down and in stroker. The pin was outside the fingers. First series out of the box was 812 (my avg is 210. Lifetime best. Nuff said. We'll see how it holds up over time.
I am a youth bowler, age 12. My Hy-road pearl wasn't cutting the corner like I thought it would, so I ended up getting this with my own money. I am a medium rev/medium speed tweener. Ball drilled with pin above ring finger CG kicked and 1" to the right, Mass Bias below thumb and to the right. With weight hole. First thing I noticed about this ball is that even with a good layout for length, it revved early and saved energy and demolished the pins. Stand left foot on 7th arrow (I am a righty) and aiming at 10 on the arrows, it was the perfect shot. OOB surface make it drink oil right off the lane. The one problem I've had so far is that I touched this up with storm reacta shine on my home spinner and it didn't hook. Great ball otherwise
I am a league/tournament bowler and I am a straight bowler. I have used this for three leagues and I have increased my average to 191 and have shot two 275 games with this ball. I has just the right amount of hook in the oil and a very smooth back end.
I was satisfied.

Mastermind is the first in the series. I love this ball. I drilled the CG center of span and pin at 12 o'clock. Wow!! is all I can say. I love this drill pattern because it allows you to see how the ball really reacts. Ball is real clean through the heads with great mid lane read and hits like a Mack truck. I had no loss of energy on the back end with this ball. I played 3 parts of the lane with it. Straight up 7 with a little less hand and more speed, 15 L to 8 L and 17 R to 4 L put a little more hand in it and took off some speed. I was able to crush the pocket from all three angles. I don't think there is a part of the lane you can not play with this ball. Try this ball you will love it. It is fast becoming my bench mark ball. I have not found a ball that Brunswick makes that is not good. Another winner for Brunswick!!
