Closest Microcell to urethane

I have thrown all of the Microcell polymer ball released by Motiv so far. The Tank Rampage is by far the closest to urethane that I have seen. By far the best Microcell to resist lane shine don’t get me wrong it still does but not nearly as quick as others. Takes surface adjustment very well make it as rough as you want to get that super early roll and smooth backend. Motiv keeps improving their Microcell Technology with each release.

Question:

How different would this ball be compared to covert tank and iq 78

2/1/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Tank Rampage Pearl will have different features to try and give you a similar result to how a urethane would perform but it gets to a similar reaction in a different way. The Urethane coverstock on the Covert Tank has less hook potential than the coverstock on the Rampage but the Rampage has a less aggressive weight block to try and balance this to work well in lighter conditions like the Covert Tank. Both should have a smooth and easy to read reaction down the lane. The Rampage compared to the IQ 78 is a little different comparison as the IQ 78 has a duller finish on the cover to help this ball read a little stronger and this helps the IQ 78 work better in medium oil while the Rampage is more for lighter conditions.
