The Storm Tropical bowling ball legacy continues with the Surge core making a great bowling ball for entry level and casual league bowlers. The bright fun colors and unique fragrances make these fun balls appealing to bowlers of every skill level. Each ball features the Reactor Pearl Reactive coverstock that glides through the front of the lane, reacts down-lane, and creates optimum pin carry. The Surge core has a higher differential which brings dependability and a little more hook at the backend.
704 series first 3 games. This ball is perfect for my release.
A stroker bowler's dream. Crankers playing a big hook could use this ball on drier lane conditions if their strike ball can't be controlled. The amount of hook is not big but very predictable, making it easy to score big. The ball has plenty of back-end punch, carrying nicely through the pocket.
A very Attractive Ball. Mine is 15 pounds. It rolls well. I just got back into bowling after almost 30 years. I'm working on my hook. I love the Roit Beer scent.
Does the storm tropical surge replace the tropical breeze?
Can you purchase a ball that has NO fragrance whatsoever on it?
Unfortunately they will all have a fragrance. The fragrance will be pretty strong at first but it will gradually fade down as you use the ball more.
How long will the fragrance last? Will there always be some fragrance or will it completely wear away at some point?
There is not a set time for how long the fragrance lasts. It may be pretty strong at first but after you use the ball a few games and after you clean the ball a few times it will start to dissipate some. The fragrance could be on there for years depending on how often you bowl or how often you clean or resurface it.
Does it come with grip pads in the hole for the bowling ball?
We only offer a basic drilling option for this bowling ball at this time for $14.95. This basic drilling is a conventional grip which does not include any kind of inserts in the finger holes. The inserts are only offered for finger tip drilling and we do not have finger tip drilling offered for this ball.
Does the ball include left handed drilling?
We do have drilling available for some bowling balls. If the drilling is offered on the weight you select we can do the drilling. The drilling is initially set up as right handed so if you need it to be left handed you would need to mention this in the customer comments page when checking out. The customer comments are on the final page after you enter your address and card information.
